VFontInst

VFontInst scans a given directory for PostScript fonts and incorporates them into an existing texmf tree under MikTeX. I am sorry, that some of the controls carry German captions, but I did not find the time yet to localize this.

frmMain

The main form (frmMain) contains all necessary information for incorporating the PostScript fonts into the local texmf tree.

FontPath Path to the PostScript fonts
WorkPath Path to the directory where all the temporarily needed files will be stored
LocalTree Path to the local texmf tree

After setting the directories the font files are scanned and the information is imported by pressing "Schriften einlesen" (read fonts). Afterwards the list of fonts will be filled and – in case you are only interested in one font family – you are able to choose the font family with the accordingly named ComboBox.

The details of the selected font file are displayed in the sub form at the right – just in case you are interested in them.

After importing the font information, you are ready to process the fonts by selecting the desired fonts and pressing one of the following buttons to the right:

Alle ausführen / Execute all Executes all of the following functions in a row.
Dateien in das Arbeitsverzeichnis kopieren / Copy files to the working directory Copies all necessary files – the font files – to the working directory. This has been made in order to assure that none of the source files will be changed in any way and to provide a better overview.
Create .tex and -map.tex files For each font the corresponding .tex and -map.tex files are created
Execute fontinst package Run the fontinst process.
Copy files into local tree Copies the necessary files into the local tree of the MikTeX installation
Update MikTeX Updates MikTeX in order to make the new fonts useable
